Will No Contact Save Your Marriage and Bring Your Husband or Wife Back?
Be sure to watch the video above all the way through before reading this post.
It's important that you understand how to apply the No Contact Rule to a marriage and that there are potential mistakes that could prevent you from stopping your divorce.
Your understanding is key along with the assurance that what you are doing gives you the best chance possible of rescuing your relationship with your husband or wife.
Should I Talk To My Husband or Wife During Separation?
I talk about the No Contact Rule a lot in my videos and in my articles.
It's a powerful tool when used properly to re-attracting someone who thinks they don't want to be romantically involved with you any longer.
It does work with marriages, but it must be modified from what I teach to non-married people.
It can accurately be called the Intelligent Contact Rule when it's applied to separated marriages or those in which one spouse is considering divorce or separation.
The reason that it's different is that married people are in a legal contract with each other and often share property, income, and children.
Therefore, contact will, at least some of the time, have to be initiated by the person being left to discuss these matters as life impacts these things constantly.
This actually works to your advantage because it provides you an opportunity to demonstrate to your husband or wife that you can interact with them without trying to push them to reunite with you.
That's powerful!
The reason is because the more that you push your spouse to reconsider or ask if they have changed feelings, the more that he or she sees you as someone they must defend themselves from, argue with, and with whom they must have awkward conversations.
This will make your fleeing spouse less likely to want to be around you and less likely to reconsider on the separation and/or divorce
It further propels the idea that you are on an opposing side from your husband or wife.
If, however, your spouse sees that you can cooperate with him or her, that you can be pleasant to be around and not push them to reconsider, often times your spouse will lower their guard and soften their heart toward you.
What's more, as you approach challenges that come up with your property, finances, and children, you set up a dynamic of being on the "same side" as your spouse.
Again, this is tremendously powerful in terms of making progress on your spouse reconsidering and in terms of re-attracting them to you.
Your spouse will see no need to run from you.
That's a start, but a powerful one since your spouse would move faster away from you emotionally and often physically in terms of location if they felt that you were constantly pushing him or her to come back or talk about the relationship.
When your spouse is set against you and against the relationship, you waste your time and push them further away by trying to talk them into reconciliation or on working on the marriage.
The No Contact Rule for marriage prevents you from pushing your spouse further away and allows their negative emotions the potential to settle.
It shows that you can respect their wishes and, ironically, that is what can cause those wishes to change.
Should I Ignore My Husband or Wife During Separation?
Some people confuse the No Contact Rule when they are married but separated.
They incorrectly think that no contact means that they should ignore their separated spouse.
This is the last thing that should be done because such rejection can exasperate negative feelings and associations that your spouse has for you.
If your spouse wants a divorce from you, there are likely feelings of hurt, rejection, and of being taken for granted.
Ignoring your husband or wife will only underscore those feelings and could reinforce their reasoning for wanting a divorce.
In their anger to you ignoring them they could say, "This is why I'm divorcing you!"
Ignoring your separated spouse when he or she is reaching out to you not only will create feelings in them of you rejecting them, but will also sabotage the momentum.
What I mean by that is that if you are wanting your husband or wife to start moving toward you, reaching out to you, and warming up to the idea of the two of you getting back together, the last thing you wan to do is stifle the momentum that is demonstrated by him or her reaching out to you.
Respond to your spouse during no contact.
It is a strong sign that their defensiveness felt toward you has lowered some and that is a good sign.
It is as your spouse begins to lower their defenses that you can begin to start the process of re-attracting him or her.
You are most powerful when you do that face-to-face.
Again, if your spouse doesn't think you are going to push, try to guilt them, become emotional, or beg them to change their mind, a face-to-face meeting isn't something they will feel the need to escape.
They will at least be open to it.
So if you need to meet about the children, property, shared finances, etc., it's something that your spouse will have less reservation about if you have demonstrated that you are not pressuring them.
It's nearly impossible to meet with someone in person and only talk about children, property, and shared finances.
This is where inside stories, inside jokes, and even romantic memories can usher you into the next phase of the No Contact Rule for marriage.
This is especially true if your spouse is the one to bring them up.
While the inside stories and inside jokes are something you could casually and subtly bring up, romantic memories are for on down the road or for your spouse to bring up themselves.
But these shared memories and stories pull the two of you together and resurrect some of the intimacy you two once had.
It's also powerful to laugh together.
It's important to see all of this as a process that requires a one-step-at-a-time mentality.
If you rush it or try to move too fast, you can lose the progress that you made.
Once you are well into the phase of this strategy where you two are meeting often and those shared stories are being mentioned - especially by your spouse - you will begin to see potential openings for some discussion about your relationship.
This is to be done carefully and in small steps as well.
For example, after several weeks of meetings, conversations, and a good amount of inside stories, inside jokes, and romantic memories, it's possible in the right moment for you to say something like, "I think we would be good together if I improved xyz."
Whatever an issue your spouse mentioned.
By doing it this way you don't put any pressure on your spouse to answer a question about whether or not he or she would be willing to try again if you improved on "xyz."
It's just a statement that you would say without pressure or expectation for your spouse to say anything.
It's important that you don't become angry or pout if your spouse doesn't say anything after such a statement.
The statement was intended to plant a seed at the right time.
The more aggressive route that I mention in the video is one that you could use a question such as, "What if I improved on xyz? Do you think we could work out?"
This doesn't come without risk, but if you have spent the last several weeks re-attracting your ex, rebuilding some intimacy, and becoming a source of comfort to your spouse, you have some leverage built up.
No matter how they answer, accept it and do your best to keep things casual and light afterwards.
The seeds that are planted can be powerful and can result in you and your spouse getting back together.
Those seeds never could have been planted however without your use of the No Contact Rule for marriage.
Most people try to push to early, too strongly, and end up training their spouse to avoid and fight them.
Using this modified form of no contact can welcome your husband or wife back rather than push them away from you.
For more on how this works, watch the video above all the way through to ensure that you fully understand how this can work to get your husband or wife back.
More detailed guidance is provided in my Emergency Marriage Kit, if you have received the news that your spouse wants a divorce. That kit is exceptionally powerful for married couples in danger of separation or divorce.
I truly wish you the best.

Oh The Meetings We Can Have!
The phones may be ringing and the emails coming in
But we've got more important matters to which we must attend
We'll share our frustrations about how others fail to see
We'll repeat what we've said just to make it crystal clear
and then we'll all choose to pretend the meeting's end is near
We'll hear the same things all again not worried they'll go sour
Voices will "contribute" to this maddening love of chime
From those who get their paychecks only based upon their time
We've got to learn what we're all about in just the nick of time
We won't plant any seeds, but will obsess about the kind
And when we have nothing to grow the blame will be assigned
Of course you know we'll meet for that and all appear berserk
And self-appointed business men will tell us what went wrong
But none will have the guts to say, "Our dang meetings took too long!"

My new migraine book is out under my pen name so I'd like to share my story about how I used to suffer from migraines.
I used to have terrible migraines. I had them almost every day. They were so bad that they altered my life dramatically.
I couldn't work when I had them, I couldn't talk because the pain was so intense that it dominated my focus and consciousness. When I was having a migraine, I absolutely hated life. During my suffering, I would imagine myself floating into the sun and disintegrating into nothingness. At least the pain would be gone.
I would have to remind myself of how much I loved my family and that I wanted to live even though the pain made me feel so miserable.
Friends, family and even strangers would offer tips of how they heard that a certain herb would help. None did for me. After nearly 20 years of suffering, I had tried many different things in hopes of finding even the slightest relief.
Here's a partial list of what I tried:
-Getting a new prescription for my glasses and contacts
-Hypnosis
-Chiropractic (it helped sometimes but wasn't a solution)
-Herbs
-Prescription drugs (big on side effects, small on relief)
-Massage (this also helped sometimes but wasn't a solution)
-Getting more sleep
-Getting less sleep
-Getting more exercise
-Getting less exercise
-Being a vegetarian
-Staying off the computer
-Juicing
-Coffee (this probably worked best but was inconsistent and didn't prevent the migraine, just slowed it down.)
-Yoga
-Acupuncture
-Bananas and potassium sources/supplements
-Every vitamin and mineral known to man
-Positive affirmations where I would literally tell myself that my migraines were gone. But the next day, I'd have another.
-Magnets
-Changing air filters and duct cleanings for my home
-Avoiding florescent lights
-Aroma therapy
-"Chi" (it's supposedly an energy therapy done with just the hands)
-Having my mercury fillings removed (I only had two and am glad I had them removed, but it didn't provide migraine relief)
-Ionic therapy
Maybe you could see my desperation increase just from the list itself. All of those things supplied limited relief at best and most didn't do a thing. I had settled into an existence of drugging myself when I felt the pain coming on and sometimes even before. I took more than I should and hoped it didn't damage my kidneys, but to be honest, I didn't care. I just wanted some relief. I couldn't even enjoy the times I didn't hurt because of the dread I'd feel for the next hell on earth I would experience.
So I think you can see, I paid my dues to the migraine club. And I had learned to be skeptical of promised cures. I figured the people who were telling me to try something were either dishonest salespeople, gullible, or wishful thinkers. I would even catch well-intentioned folks in lies. Someone who said that they had eliminated a certain food from their diet and that stopped their migraines would have a migraine. In confusion I'd ask if they had eaten that "trigger food." When they answered that they hadn't, they'd often further admit to me that their migraines hadn't really gone away but had only seemed to be fewer for a few days. But then they would often admit doubt about even that. You'd be amazed how that odd story played out over and over.
It all added up to continuing desperation, frustration, and panic that I might never get to live a life free of migraines.
The experts, though appreciated, were usually pretty vague, blaming the migraines on some mysterious "stress," or "hormones" with the only hope of some relief being stronger and stronger drugs to try to mask over the pain but that usually came with terrible side effects. And there was rarely an explanation as to why my body would decide to have a migraine because of "stress" or "hormones."
I began researching migraines, cluster headaches, and headaches in general. I read everything I could get my hands on or a search engine could find. I wept. I prayed. And then one day I made a breakthrough after a discussion with my grandmother-in-law. A medical detail she shared with me from the 1930's led me down a rabbit hole. Three steps in and I found something else to "try."
Though it was logical and made perfect sense to me, I wouldn't let myself believe that it was anything more than something else on the list of failings. But to my astonishment and pure joy, it worked outright and immediately. Literally the day that I strung the details together was the last day I have had a migraine headache. That was nearly five years ago. And I was having them almost every day!
After several months of total, complete relief, I started looking and asking around to see if any of the migraine experts were telling their patients about this. So I asked some of my friends in my circle of migraine sufferers. One friend flew to New York every month to try the next drug but so far nothing had been able to touch her pain. The only thing the specialist had to offer her was one expensive drug after another. The reason of course, is because in order to raise money to study a possible treatment, a financial return has to be probable to entice investors. Since the system I had learned was free, there would be no money spent studying it.
I shared the system with her and, being a fellow skeptic, she calmly said she'd try it. She was the first other than myself to try it that I would have personal access to. Two weeks later she came to me with tears in her eyes and hugged me. It had worked for her as well! No more trips to New York to spend money on false hope!
I was thrilled that what I had learned had made a major difference in someone's life, but I was also frustrated. Frustrated that for survival's sake, the medical industry had no interest in entertaining the idea that something other than a medical drug, medical procedure, or medical device could help a migraine. Whether it would or would not work, it would not be studied if there was no profit to be made in the product. It was that simple.
So I actually felt guilty that I had no migraines. Where I had felt happiness before, even laughing in joy as day after day passed without a migraine, I now felt a duty to share what I knew to the millions of migraine suffers out there who continued day after day in agony. I knew that little would find relief from the expensive drugs and surgery that was pushed toward them. I couldn't help but feel empathy and that I had to do something. My mom used to suffer with migraines, and in the cringes and tears of fellow sufferers, I still see her face and I can't simply enjoy my own relief.
So I wrote a book. It's not that long, only a little over twenty pages. The price is only $3.99, something that anyone can afford and the money allows me to get the message to more people. I want to show as many as possible how they can end migraine pain for good and live the life that they want to live. It's really that simple. This literally could be the last day, week, and month that you have a migraine! The book is on Amazon Kindle (http://amzn.to/1hkEJYy) and on Nook (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-real-cure-for-migraines-james-laymond/1118910082). And you don't have to have a prescription or be referred to it. There's no co-pay or paperwork.
P.S. - Some doctors out there are actually referring patients to this book because their assistants who weren't finding any relief from all the latest drugs they had access to found relief through this system. The doctors have even called me personally to ask more details and that is why I decided to write this book.
I'm not a salesman, so I can't stomach saying something like "Don't delay, buy today" or to be otherwise pushy. But I believe in this so much that I'll simply say, all you have to lose is about four bucks. Not even a drop in the bucket to what you'd pay for other routes. I'm very specific in the book and I'm telling you, it works. So grab a copy and tell a friend who suffers. Again, it's on Amazon Kindle (http://amzn.to/1hkEJYy) and on Nook (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-real-cure-for-migraines-james-laymond/1118910082).
To ending it,
-Lee (James is my pen name)

This Has Got To Be Bad Karma...If You Believe In Karma
And then she got a high five for it! She literally snatched the ball out of the hands of that poor little girl. Geez! I don't know if you believe in Karma or not, but this has got to be bad Karma. And by Karma, I think Jesus said it first when he said: "Whatever you sow, you will also reap." That's a lot like saying, "What goes around, comes around."
Can you believe she snatched the ball out of the little girl's hands?

A Blank Cookbook
The principle is fairly simple but that's what makes it profound. Rather than dig through cookbooks full of other people's recipes for the one that you like, you can use "The Blank Cookbook" to store your favorite recipes and easily find them when you need to. No calling mom (sorry mom) to find out if you need half a cup of sugar or two (sorry Dr. Atkins). No guessing. You get to have a cookbook full of your own favorite recipes instead of the favorites of Paula Deen or the guy who yells "Bam!"
It's also a way for us to store the recipes of loved ones. Like grandpa's favorite casserole or uncle Pete's potato salad. And it is a great family resource that allows future generations to enjoy the recipes that brought us together.
